Celebrate with Pride this August
The head office of the BC Liquor Distribution Branch (LDB) in Burnaby has undergone a makeover in celebration of Pride Month.
Pride banners now hang from the roof of the building at Gilmore and Canada Way, and are visible to drivers travelling the Trans-Canada Highway. Employees at the LDB’s BC Liquor Stores, BC Cannabis Stores, distribution centres and other offices are also sporting rainbow lanyards in support of the LGBTQ+ community and to promote inclusivity, acceptance, and respect.
“People and Respect are two of our core corporate values, and we pride ourselves on being an inclusive and supportive workplace that encourages cultural and societal diversity,” said Blain Lawson, LDB General Manager and CEO. “We encourage our workforce to be their authentic selves every day, and to share their cultural uniqueness with their peers.”
The LDB raises over $1 billion each year to support public services including health care and education.
