BC Liquor Stores does not have a delivery service and cannot ship beverage alcohol outside of the province.
British Columbia allows direct-to-consumer shipping from other provinces for 100 percent Canadian wine purchased directly from a Canadian winery and shipped to a customer in our province. The wine purchased must be for personal consumption only.
The Special Orders department is pleased to consider requests to order products that are not currently available in our province. Please be advised the product must be purchased and picked up from a BC Liquor Store, and that — typically — the final cost for special order products is significantly higher than the retail price in the country of origin after exchange rates, mark up, freight, taxes and duty are applied.
There are also minimum order sizes and shipping costs that apply. Once an order is placed, the import process may take up to six months depending on where the product is being shipped from.

Anyone holding a special event, celebration or community festival that involves the serving or selling of liquor must obtain a Special Event Permit (SEP). This allows you to serve and sell alcohol to your guests, and for them to consume it. Permits are regulated and issued by the Liquor and Cannabis Regulation Branch.
For more information about applying for a SEP, visit the Special Event Permits website. A SEP permits the host to serve or sell liquor at an event in accordance with BC's liquor laws and regulations.
Event hosts are considered liquor permittees and are responsible for the safety of their guests. All individuals hosting or serving liquor at a SEP event — including family events — are required to complete a Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) training program.
• A Special Event Server (SES) certificate is required for all events under 500 guests.
• A Serving It Right (SIR) certificate is required for events over 500 guests.
If returning to BC from another province, there is no limit to how much alcohol you can bring into the province, as long as the liquor accompanies you and is used for personal consumption. It cannot be shipped separately.
If returning to BC from another country, please review the Canada Border Services Agency website for personal exemption limits.
Each situation is different. Please contact our Wholesale Imports department at [email protected].
