Liquor Distribution Branch named BC Top Employer for the 10th time
VANCOUVER – The BC Liquor Distribution Branch (LDB) is being recognized as one of BC’s Top Employers for 2018. This marks the 10th consecutive time the LDB has been honoured as part of Mediacorp Canada Inc.’s Canada’s Top 100 Employers project, which identifies employers that lead their industries in offering exceptional places to work.
As one of the largest liquor purchasers in the world, the LDB contributes more than $1 billion annually to the Province to support vital services such as health care and education. It employs approximately 4,000 full- and part-time employees in its head office, two wholesale customer centres, two distribution centres (Vancouver and Kamloops), and 197 BC Liquor Stores.
Eligible employers are evaluated by the editors of Canada’s Top 100 Employers using the same criteria as the national competition: Physical Workplace; Work Atmosphere & Social; Health, Financial & Family Benefits; Vacation & Time Off; Employee Communications; Performance Management; Training & Skills Development; and Community Involvement.
